Parents, families and workers

Non­formal education is also directed to workers, parents and families of Arizmendi Ikastola. That is why different courses are organized to make everyone feel part of our educational community, as well as to offer complementary resources for the education of our children that help transmit our cultural identity.

DIALECT OF OUR VALLEY

A course for getting to know our culture and dialect with the purpose of getting closer to our oirigins.

SCHOOL OF THE BACK

This course is based on the importance of being conscious of the daily care our back needs. Theoretical and practical concepts will be learnt, useful both for parents as for teachers.

CAPOEIRA

Capoeira is the oldest means of cultural expression in Brazil, and it merges dances, combat, and music instruments from different cultures. Until now, it was kept secretly. It was practised only among family­members, and was transmitted by the father or any other relative. Nowadays, however, Capoeira schools exist in almost every continent and Arizmendi Ikastola wants to give a chance to practice it.

PROPER USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS

It is an extraordinary opportunity to develop creativity and set a meeting point between children, students and teachers in one same workshop.

OLYMPIC GAMES

These games are celebrated in a very festive atmosphere and are organised for the workers of the Ikastola. Their purpose is to strengthen their relationship. Patchwork, Balloon art, and the project” Mantal Hori” are a great chance to develop creativity and learn new things all together; parents, teachers and students.

ROLLER­SKATING

All family members can take part in this course. A great chance to learn with the family and have fun.

HYPOPRESSIVE EXERCISES

The aim is to know about the theoretical­practical basis of this technique.

Objectives: ­

  • Learning the basic anatomy of abdominals
  • Learning about the reasons for the practice of the hypopresive exercises. ­
  • Learning about the results of the techniques.
  • Practising the basic hypopressive exercises.
