Elementary Education
The stage of the Elementary Education helps children aged 6 to 12 consolidate the basis of their cultural world. Basic competences of this stage are reading, writing, oral communication, mathematics, and developing the autonomy.
In Arizmendi Ikastola all these competences are developed within the context of the Pedagogy of Confidence. This exactly means that children should work and develop competences required in the elementary education in order to feel confident with themselves, with others and their environment.
The project created to develop the Pedagogical Programme of Arizmendi Ikastola in the elementary education is called GURA.
